Romance between adult otakus who share similar interests. Extroverted female lead (FL) and introverted male lead (ML). Probably the best adult romance I've seen. They don't have an intense (or sexy?) romance. They show everyday moments and the comfort within the relationship. All the relationships are very well done, in my opinion. If you liked Yamada-kun to Lv999, I highly recommend it.

They are two years apart, so don’t worry, Yamada is 17-18 years old and Akane is 20 years old. I love the comedy, I laughed a million times. The romance is the main focus but also not sometimes. It varies at times. If you liked Wotakoi, I recommend it.

Romance between office colleagues. Introverted female lead (FL) and extroverted male lead (ML). FL is tsundere, but she’s the type that gets embarrassed, not the type that hits. The size difference might bother some, but not me. More than her being very short, I’d say he’s very tall and muscular. I promise you the secondary couple is worth it, too.

Romance with time travel. Extroverted female lead (FL) and introverted male lead (ML). There are many complicated things throughout the anime, but I loved it. There are lots of references to 90s otaku culture that even I enjoyed. Romance IS NOT THE MAIN FOCUS. However, from how I saw the protagonists’ relationship, I interpret it as romance. Their relationship depends a lot on the viewer.

Romance between university students, with one of the protagonists having a hearing condition. Introverted female lead (FL) and extroverted male lead (ML). The female lead is deaf, but he (ML) opens her world in a beautiful way. The topic of deafness is approached in a respectful and realistic manner. Don’t be influenced by external opinions, as it’s important to learn how to treat people based on how you get to know them. If you're extremely sensitive, the male lead's initial treatment might bother you, but you’ll see how their relationship develops and grows throughout the series. The evolution of both characters and their relationship is heartwarming and touching.

It explores different stages before, during, and after marriage. While it leaves some things unresolved and the pacing within the anime feels very slow, it’s a nice option for a relaxed afternoon.

A romance between university students where the girls dress as boys. It’s important to clarify that the girls never state they identify as boys; they dress this way because of their job at a themed bar (similar to a maid café). In their daily lives, they live as girls. If you’re not into yaoi, I suggest viewing it for what it is: girls dressed as boys. This isn’t my first time encountering a cross-dressing romance, and while it doesn’t bother me, I recommend giving it a chance.
