Followed the manga pretty accurately...except they had Kumi's hair down as opposed to having it in a pony tail when she came out of the van, and Itagaki wasn't wearing a Nike shirt. So no complaints about this episode.
havent watched the ep yet but did they fit all of the beach trip into one episode? i thought there would have been at least enough material there to take up 2 episodes.
sorry for double post, but just watched the episode and loved it, followed the manga really well and i am even happy they kept in the tomiko tit grab, had a feeling they would stop just before
the spar with itagaki
this ep even made me boostmy rating of this new series from a 7 to an 8, ever since episode 9 it has felt like the director is doing a better job in matching the feel of the first season now and i'm glad.

So, before I even comment on the episode. Fuck the new Kumi. Seriously, I still don't like her.
Anyhoo, now that that's outta the way, that was quite faithful so I was quite glad. The quality of the series keeps getting closer to the first season. Can't wait for the outcome of Aoki's "revenge", ahahahaha. Neko's prank was also just as awesome as the manga. All-in-all, good episode.

i don't think the bike incident was in the manga though so that may be the reason

This shit was so funny. Takamura showed why he shines in these types of episodes. And like others have said, I can't get myself thinking right with the new Kumi.
Oh, now I see the main advantage of this ugly new design: it's great on funny episodes since the characters can make really nice faces ;) Good episode and really funny for once.

I love these kinds of episodes within the anime, maybe it is because they are put together very well. It is is really funny, the anime has got it all. I hope this continues on until when the manga finishes, not like they are getting close to it, somewhat 800 chapters surely they have enough material to go on until the manga ends!
Extremely funny episode! Haha had lots of laughs in this one.. The Tomiko funddling was flat out hilarious! Haha and wanpo was so cute in this one also.. It was too bad kumi didn't hear ippo's confession.. All in all the best training camp ever! Haha
that was hilarious xD takamura is really badass, he KO'ed a bear and fighting ghost ^^ he really loves boxing from the bottom of his heart anyway that was the best episode of hajime no ippo season 2 so far to me, hard luck for ippo since Kumi felt asleep in the middle of the confession, the end of the episode was EPIC, I'm still lathing xD the pace was good and also the art too, that was a good episode, as expected from madhouse

It sucks that Aoki didn't get his revenge, but I was expecting that and Kumi falling asleep when Ippo was about to confess lol. But I don't know if I could get used to Kumi's seiyuu, I just loved the one from the first season, although I like her appearance in this season though, she looks more feminine here.
I can't still go over the fact that Kumi-chan has a different voice and looks rather different... that said I'm proud on Ippo that he finally managed to say it however with her asleep it doesn't mean much but I do hope he can confess it at one point in time! Lol that ending though xD
